Born in Ko-Ro-Ba, and raised with His four Brothers and two Sisters, Midnight Da'vio was the "middle child" in every way. Younger than the Twins, Duske and Dawn, and older than Noon and Azimuth, Midnight was pretty much the "forgotten Da'vio".

Throughout childhood, Midnight had followed the lead of His two older Brothers, learning from them the skills needed to be a Man and a Warrior. Their skill with the blades were legendary in the City of Ko-Ro-Ba, and Midnight watched His older siblings, gleaning from Them all that He could of the art of battle.

As soon as Midnight was old enough, He petitioned the Caste of Warriors, and, upon completeing the required training and assessment, was accepted into the Scarlet Caste. His pride in this achivement was unparalelled, and He wore the Scarlet tunic of Ko-Ro-Ba with pride.

Soon after, His younger Brothers were also wearing the Scarlet, and the five Brothers Da'vio were a peerless force to be reckoned with. They called themselves "The Core". The reason for this monicer was only known to the five Brothers.

And then, the unthinkable. Having displeased the Priet Kings, the great and mighty City of Ko-Ro-Ba was destroyed. Not one stone lay atop another which had been laid in the mighty walls of the City.

Devestated, the Brothers Da'vio scattered, each to His own calling, to search for what had been ripped from Them. To find their place on the world of Gor.

Midnight took to the wilds, choosing to stay far from the Cities of Gor. He spent much time with the People of the Plains, and with the Red Savages, learning their languages and customs, and living amongst them as One of their own. It was during this time that He came across a certain slave, whose haunting dark eyes, and bold, yet respectful mannerisms caught His fancy. One day, as the slave waited for her Master, a chieftain of the Dust Leg tribe, outside a shop,Midnight simply took the slave, and left the lands of the Savages, never to return.

Midnight was moving again, the grief He felt for Ko-Ro-Ba had not been assuaged during His time with the Savages, and His heart still yearned for His Kin.

Travelling along he Voltai Road, heading for the Vosk River Road, Midnight came upon a small camp. Approaching the camp with caution, He heard a familiar voice, and then another. Stepping into the camps circle, His eyes go wide for a moment as He sees His Brothers, Duske and Dawn. His elation is without measure, but, in His usual fashion, He simply strolled into camp, as if nothing had happened, and He had just been out for a walk. It was then that He decided that He would not be seperated from His Brothers again, and set up His own tent in the camp.

Soon after, the camp began to grow, and prosper under the leadership of Duske, and the name Da'vio once again began to be spoken around fires, and paga kettles throughout Gor. The Core was being reborn.

It was not long until Azimuth, the youngest of the Brothers joined the camp, leaving just one missing link to complete the circle. This link was soon added as well, as the last Da'vio Brother came to camp. Noon joined the camp, and the Core was once again complete.

Noon also brought something with Him. Something which would cement the destiny of the Brothers. He brought a stone. A piece of the wall of Ko-Ro-Ba. It was determined right then and there that this stone would be the Homestone of the Core. On that fateful night, the five Brothers, along with a Man known as VanGuard, who had so impressed Duske and Dawn, that He was made a member of the Brotherhood of the Core, made their pledge, and cast their blood upon the Homestone of the Core.

The Black Winds Trading Post had been begun, and the Homestone was set within its walls, on a pedestal of Honor. The Trading Post would soon be the permanent Home of the Core.

The camp continues to grow and prosper, and the Core is once again a peerless force, unparalelled in skill and unmatchable in strength. And once again, Midnight takes His place as "the middle Brother", unnoticed by Most, He preferring to remain in the background, letting His Brothers lead.

But, to dismiss Midnight Da'vio as insignificant would be a costly, and fatal mistake to Any who might decide to come up against the Core. Between the dawning of a new day, and the death of the old...

Midnight stands alone.
